Creamy Rice Pudding

This Creamy Rice Pudding recipe is both humble and delicious and can be made easily on the stovetop for the perfect after-dinner dessert.

uncooked long grain white rice evaporated milk whole milk granulated sugar raisins cinnamon cloves vanilla extract unsalted butter

Rinse the raw rice, then cook until all the water has evaporated.

Step 1

Add the milks, raisins, cinnamon stick, and ground cloves and continue to cook, stirring every few minutes, until rice is creamy.

Add in sugar, and cook until it is almost to your desired consistency. Keep in mind it gets thicker as it cools!

Remove the cinnamon stick and stir in butter and vanilla.

Serve warm, or let it cool down and serve it cold. If it thickens too much, add a splash of milk or water to thin it out.
