Homemade Strawberry Pop Tarts

Homemade strawberry filling is tucked inside an easy-to-make buttery pastry, and finished with a simple vanilla glaze to make for the best strawberry pop tarts!

–fresh or frozen strawberries -lemon -all-purpose flour -unsalted butter -powdered sugar -whole milk -cornstarch -vanilla extract

MAKE THE DOUGH

First, you have to make the pop tart dough. The dough needs to chill overnight.

ROLL THE DOUGH

Roll out the pop tart dough and cut rectangles about 3 x 4" big.

Re-roll any scraps one time. This dough should yield about 16-18 rectangles.

MAKE THE FILLING

Cook the strawberry filling on the stovetop (it's quick, and then let it fully chill.

ASSEMBLE

Add the strawberry filling on top of the pastry squares.

Place second pastry on top, and seal the edges well with a fork, and then a bench scraper.

BAKE

Bake until light golden brown on the edges and the bottom.

GLAZE

Whisk together a simple glaze and add to the top of the cooled pop tart.
