Spiced Apple Turnovers

Perfectly cooked apples are lightly spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg then wrapped up in puff pastry and baked, then finished with a cinnamon cider glaze.

PREP TIME: 40 minutes

BAKE TIME: 25 minutes

Mix the apple filling ingredients in a bowl, then transfer to the stovetop and cook until thickened. Cool completely.

PREPARE FILLING

Defrost (or roll out if using homemade) pastry and cut into six squares.

PREPARE PUFF PASTRY

Place filling in the middle of the puff pastry. Close the puff pastry around the peach filling.

ASSEMBLE

Use a fork to seal the edges of the turnover. Cut the edges of the sealed turnover with a sharp knife.

Place the assembled turnovers on a parchment lined sheetpan and freeze for 15 minutes.

Bake until the turnovers are golden browned and puffed up throughout. Let cool.

Whisk together the powdered sugar, apple cider and cinnamon until smooth. Drizzle over the top of the baked turnovers.
