Caramelized Onion Quiche

-onions -eggs -salt + pepper + nutmeg -balsamic vinegar -whole milk -heavy cream -gruyere or swiss cheese -pie crust

This takes close to an hour, or more, so plan to do this ahead of time--up to 4 days ahead.

MAKE CARAMELIZED ONIONS

Make the pie crust either by hand, or you can make it in a food processor.

Fully blind bake the the pie shell. The bottom crust should be matte in appearance when it's done.

Whisk together the eggs, dairy, nutmeg, and salt and pepper.

Layer in the onions
