The Best Apple Crumb Pie
An absolute classic, this Apple Crumble Pie is filled to the brim with juicy apples laced with cinnamon, inside of a buttery flaky pie crust and baked off with a delicious oat crumble.

– baking apples – flour – butter – brown sugar + white sugar – cinnamon + nutmeg – oats – lemon juice – salt – vanilla extract

Make the pie crust! It's best if you can make it a day ahead of time.
Roll out the pie dough and place into your pie plate.
Peel and slice apples, and combine with apple filling ingredients and let macerate for about 20 minutes.
Melt butter in a pot, and then add in the rest of the crumble ingredients. Then combine.
Place the macerated apple pieces inside of the pie, taking care to layer them together, leaving very little space in between the apple pieces.
Sprinkle the crumble mixture on top of the pie and bake!
Let the pie cool for about an hour, before serving. Serve slightly warm, or at room temperature.
